- Metemos en un olla los ingredientes del paso 1, más el pimentón, el laurel, las lentejas, sal y un chorrito de aceite de oliva

- Agregamos agua a la olla cubriendo los ingredientes

- Ponemos la olla a fuego medio/bajo y tapamos dejando una ranura para que cuando hierva no se nos salga

- Dejar durante 10 minutos la olla al fuego. Iremos vigilando de que no se nos quede sin agua (añadir agua caliente si fuese necesario) Es preferible ir añadiendo que echar en exceso ya que se nos quedarÃan las lentejas aguadas

- Pelamos las patatas, las lavamos y las cortamos a gajos

- Transcurridos los 10 minutos, añadimos las patatas a la olla (si es necesario añadiremos agua caliente) y dejamos hervir durante 15 ó 20 minutos más o hasta que las lentejas y patatas estén tiernas

- Pinchamos las patatas con un tenedor para ver si están tiernas y las probamos de sal

- Dejar la olla tapada del todo y dejar reposar 5 minutos sin fuego. Si vemos que se nos han quedado muy secas de agua, le añadimos un vasito con agua templada y remover

- Servir calentitas
